Cuisinier Brasserie!

time: 09:59PM
place: home

TUESDAY. Timog. Cuisinier Brasserie

Hurrah! Since today is still a national holiday, our class scheduled an ALP or an alternative learning program instead of having our usual classroom lecture / labs.

Chef Annali's friend and fellow [former] instructor from CCA owns the restaurant, The Cuisinier Brasserie, located along Timog which offers French-Mediterranean cuisine.

We met up for lunch, which didn't do wonders for the ambiance since the place is all floor to ceiling windows. The interiors however are wonderful; all cream colored chairs, long tables and booths on the sides.

What i loved most about the place is how the owner emphasized on the depths of her studies. Chef Annali made mention that her friend studied at the Le Cordon Bleu in Paris which is probably the major influence and inspiration of the establishment.

Chalkboards with colored chalks were hanged above the kitchen door for the specials of the day as you can see they drew there a little Eiffel Tower. How artsy fartsy.

And as for our set menu:

Everything is just yummy! The whole class was just being so by-the-books the entire time, it's fun! We criticized and gave our opinion, like if the soup is served "piping hot" or if the puree of pumpkin was skimmed properly and so on.

I especially love the pudding the creme brulee since the level of sweetness matched my palate and it's not always that i come across a good dessert.

Cheers! Until the next! :)
