If there's one thing about me and food, it's how i don't like to eat rice and how i feel after, if ever i eat some. It's like sugar rush and hyper mode, and energizer bunny all into one.
But i enjoy cooking them; especially Risotto. One of our classmates made the risotto for class but for some weird reason, it tasted like soap after! We all had a good laugh after it, so that's the reason why i failed to take a picture of it.
Here at home, we've been making Paella using tomato sauce and tomato paste and i never really bothered checking what the rest of the world use. Turns out, the special ingredient is saffron which i presume gives it the distinctive smell, taste and color. We also usually use tuna, ridiculously giant slices of bellpeppers, squid, and shrimp. But for CCA's recipe of Paella Valenciana, we used shrimps, mussels, clams, and *ugh* olives. Also, tomatoes, bellpeppers, saffrons, etc.
for the life of me, i can't name this dish! i totally forgot already. Must be nasi goreng also, but with a different plating, but im not 100% sure! Short term memory dory!
