DAY1. August 16. Tuesday
Whoopee! This marks the official official first day since basically yesterday was just this really short orientation. But today, whoopee! Schooling againnnn! So i got to school really early, drinking my coffee while driving and I CANT HELP BUT THINK that, gosh, I'm gonna do this wake up early thing for the next 6 months ( till next year!) so i have GOT to adjust quick.
So here's my school:
(Such an ungodly hour btw, 5:30am, classes start at 6am.)
Since lecture is Knife Skills, and knowing the kind of clumsy person that i am, i ended up being the first casualty ( And the second.) It is quite embarrassing since the reason why i got cut twice is because:
stupid#1. i was in a hurry to get the knife from the knife bag
stupid#2. i was gripping the 8" regular knife too tight and too close to the blade. So there.
Anyways! After the bloodshed, good thing i'm able to come up with all these different cuts:
We have there Julienne, Fine Julienne, Baton, Batonets, Brunoise, Zest, Chiffonade, Segments, Slice, Dice, Cubes, Quarters, Mince and Shred.
After cutting all those veggies, we set them aside because our next lesson will tackle everything Stocks.
